T-Scan Feature Spotlight: The Sensitivity Wizard

T-Scan™ is dentistry's only clinically recognized and research-validated digital occlusion analysis system. With T-Scan, you’re able to see what was once invisible if using traditional occlusal indicator methods. Our state-of-the-art, digital software helps clinicians to identify premature contacts, high forces, and interrelationship of occlusal surfaces.

Whether you’re just learning about T-Scan, or you’re a current user, you’ll want to know about the built-in Sensitivity Wizard.

T-Scan comes with intuitive software to help you use the tool and provide the best care for your patients. A big part of that is getting calibration right. The Sensitivity Wizard allows for quick calibration of T-Scan to set the proper range of force, thus ensuring the most accurate analysis possible. Here’s how it’s done:

Plug the T-Scan into your computer, launch the T-Scan software, and open your patient’s record. If you’re with a new patient, create a new patient record. Then, follow these steps:

The key is to set the wizard so that you don’t see too many pink spikes. Those represent the highest amount of force. So, if you see a lot of them, you’ve probably set the sensitivity too high.
