IDS 2019 Recap

This year’s International Dental Show was certainly a whirlwind. We saw a lot of activity at the Tekscan booth, and spoke with many attendees about the increased global interest in digital occlusal analysis.

This technology is advancing, and so is its demand within the dental community. More and more people are realizing the benefits of T-ScanTM .  Nearly EVERY dental procedure performed impacts occlusion. Poor occlusion affects quality of life. T-Scan is a tool to restore this quality of life.

Here is a brief recap of what we saw and heard at IDS 2019.

Excellent Speakers

Tekscan was fortunate to host several knowledgeable and compelling speakers at IDS. Dr. Henriette Lerner and Dr. Scott Green, two well-known experts in occlusion, gave interesting and informative presentations including case examples with T-Scan data.

Dr. Henriette Lerner is a specialist in oral surgery focusing on implantology and aesthetics. She is an educator in the topics of implant dentistry, grafting techniques and digital technology, as well as aesthetics on implants. Based in Baden Baden, Germany, she has contributed to the development of two implant systems, dental apps and surgical instruments. Dr. Lerner is currently President of the Digital Dentistry Society International (DDS).

Dr. Scott Green received a DMD degree from Tufts University and an MS in Microbiology from Montana State University. He has been practicing general dentistry in Montana, USA for more than 30 years. Dr. Green uses a number of technology and alternative medicine products to assist in making accurate diagnosis and guide treatment, providing quality care and measurable outcomes. People Checking Their Bite with T-Scan Product Demonstrations

Many of our Tekscan booth visitors took the opportunity to “check their bite” and see what T-Scan can do firsthand. We performed scans on dozens of visitors and showed them the data that dentists around the world are now using to help analyze occlusal issues.
