Tekscan Launches I-Scan 10 with New TekDAQ 220 Electronics Platform

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tekscan Launches I-Scan™ 10 with New TekDAQ 220 Electronics Platform

Built on the new TekDAQ 220 platform, I-Scan 10 combines updated electronics, enhanced reliability, and modern connectivity with the same analysis capabilities customers depend on.

Norwood, MA (October 15, 2026) — Tekscan, the leader in tactile pressure sensing and pressure mapping technology, today announced the release of I-Scan™ 10, the latest version of its pressure mapping system. The software is built around the new TekDAQ data platform, which introduces updated electronics (TekDAQ 220), expanded connectivity options, and hardware improvements designed to support demanding testing and measurement applications.

I-Scan 10 is intended for engineers, researchers, and product development teams that use pressure mapping to evaluate contact forces, pressure distribution, and product performance. The release maintains compatibility with existing Tekscan matrix pressure sensors and preserves the software workflows used by current I-Scan customers.

The launch marks the latest major hardware update to the platform with the introduction of the TekDAQ 220. The new electronics incorporate improved resistance to electrical noise and electrostatic discharge (ESD), a field-replaceable cable with USB-C connectivity and USB-A adapter support and increased mechanical strength at the cable connection through a screw locking mechanism.

“For decades, engineers have relied on I-Scan to visualize pressure distribution to make more informed design decisions,” said Camilo Aladro, Chief Operating Officer at Tekscan and former Industrial Product Manager. “I-Scan 10 and the new TekDAQ 220 platform represent our continued commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance pressure mapping solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

I-Scan is used across industries including manufacturing, automotive, printing and packaging, and academic research. The system enables users to capture and analyze pressure data during product design, validation, and performance testing.

Key updates for I-Scan 10 include:

  • New TekDAQ 220 electronics designed for long-term reliability
  • Enhanced resistance to electrical noise and ESD for more consistent testing
  • USB-C connectivity with USB-A adapter support
  • Compatibility with existing Tekscan matrix pressure sensors
  • Expanded calibration support for temperature mapping sensors and multi-tile sensors
  • Familiar software experience with support for current and future Windows operating systems

For existing users, I-Scan 10 provides an upgrade path that preserves established testing methods and sensor investments. New users gain access to Tekscan's pressure mapping platform through the latest hardware and software release.

I-Scan 10 is available beginning October 15, 2026. Product information, technical specifications, and a product overview are available on the I-Scan product page. Visit the web page or contact Elizabeth Hood at 617-505-4007 or via email at [email protected].
