Big Show, Big News: Tekscan Offers Sneak Peek at APTA CSM 2017

Product unveiling

Luckily, Striking Measures is up and running just in time for us to recap our experience at APTA's Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) 2017. Last week, we joined more than 11,000 professionals in San Antonio, Texas, for the biggest conference on physical therapy in the country…and we brought something special to show off!

From February 15-18, Tekscan presented APTA 2017 attendees with a sneak peek at our new gait analysis walkway, Strideway™. This portable, easy-to-use platform provides kinetic, temporal, and spatial gait parameters, facilitating comprehensive gait analysis in both clinical and research environments.

After attending the event, Tekscan's CTO Rob Podoloff  is even more confident in the product and its place in the market: "As we intended, Strideway is best in class. Its modularity, ease of use, and data analysis capabilities are unmatched in the industry. "

As a result, the Strideway system drew in a consistent crowd, the excitement palpable.

"We showcased a first-in-class product, and attendees easily recognized its tremendous value. They displayed overwhelming interest in the new Strideway system and were incredibly impressed with our comprehensive portfolio of pressure measurement systems for physical therapy applications," said Bill Burns, Regional Sales Manager, Medical division at Tekscan.

"We were beyond thrilled to introduce Strideway to clinicians and researchers who can use the system to easily collect and analyze gait and pressure data. We've designed a truly portable solution that can be customized to fit any space, while still maintaining its quick and simple setup. We've removed potential gait interferences, expanded the active sensing area to accommodate most types of dysfunctional gait. Strideway is an industry game-changer, and we were proud to unveil it for the first time at this year's APTA CSM conference," said Peter Gantchev, Product Manager, Medical division at Tekscan.

The worldwide release of Tekscan's Strideway is planned for Q2 2017. Stay tuned for more information, and in the meantime, explore the importance of pressure measurement in gait labs in our free eBook, "Pressure Measurement in the Gait Lab: Why You Need It!"
