Thin-film sensor used to capture data to assess pressure between the saddle, rider and horse.

SADDLE SYSTEM FEATURES:

 

  • Utilizes thin-film sensor technology to assess the relationship between the saddle and horse

  • Provides quantifiable data to ensure proper contour and positioning of the saddle thus improving the comfort and performance of the animal

  • Wireless capability eliminates interference from wires and captures true relationship between the rider, horse and saddle

  • Scanning speed of 95 Hz with the wireless system

  • With datalogger, recordings can be stored for upload at a later time and data can be collected when the horse is over 100 meters away from the computer!  The Datalogger will allow scanning speeds of 750 Hz.

Data is transmitted directly from the subject to the computer, allowing for a wide range of applications. The subject can be up to 100 meters away and data can be recorded and displayed on the computer in real time. A 95 Hz scan rate is available with wireless connectivity.

Datalogger

Collects and stores sensor data in its internal memory for upload to a computer at a later time. The subject can travel over 100 meters from the computer and can be used when a recording needs to be made over an extended period of time. Scan rates of 750 Hz can be achieved.

VersaTek Cuffs - Every VersaTek based system uses specially designed scanning electronics called Cuffs. The Cuffs connect to the sensor, gather the data from the sensor, and then process and wirelessly transmit the data to your computer. VersaTek electronics sample at the fastest speeds and are compatible with other VersaTek sensors, giving you the ability to add in-shoe, prosthetic, grip, and seating & positioning capabilities to your Tekscan System.

Shown is a pressure profile of a horse’s back while fitted with an English style saddle. Notice that the pressure profile is broken up into two halves, left and right. Peak pressures in each half are noted by the black boxes and Center of Force (CoF) is designated by the colored diamonds. The gray stripe down the center of the profile indicates the area between the two sensors.

  • Display 2-D and 3-D real-time and recorded data

  • Display contact area, average and peak pressures, and Center of Pressure and its trajectory

  • View data frame by frame

  • Side-by-side comparisons of pre- and post-treatment conditions

  • Measure distance between two points (anatomical landmarks or sites)
