GAIT ANALYSIS WITH PRESSURE MAPPING

Using Tekscan pressure mapping technology to analyze foot function and gait

Gait analysis with pressure mapping technology allows you to view underlying problems with foot function and gait that would otherwise be unseen by the naked eye. Pressure mapping captures pressure data from heel contact to toe off and indicates how the client is walking and how their feet are functioning. Tekscan provides both in-shoe and floor mat systems to cover human and animal subjects.

Tekscan software simplifies gait analysis and instantly provides:

  • Pressure maps (image profiles) of pressure distribution on plantar surface.
  • Pressures and Forces during gait displayed in Time graphs.
  • Position and Trajectories for Center of Force (CoF) during stance phases of gait.
  • Force and Pressure time Integrals (impulse).
