CONFORMat® System
seating and positioning pressure measurement analysis
Portable interface pressure mapping system which captures seat and back pressure distribution and contact area.
NEW!
In a recent study1, the CONFORMat® was found to have superior performance over other interface pressure mats on:
- Pressure magnitude readings at areas of highest loading and at the most complex curvatures.
- Buttocks immersion indicating least amount of hammocking.
- Least overall influence between the buttocks and common seat cushions.
CONFORMat Seating / Positioning System Features:

-
Portable interface pressure mapping system that captures pressure distribution and contact area of the seat and back
-
Provides quantified data for diagnosis and objective decision-making on mode of treatment
-
Sensors conform to the surface and capture the true interface pressure measurement unlike other thick, cloth-like sensors
-
Vivid color shows how the body conforms to the support surface and graphical analysis provides documentation of before-and-after case comparisons
-
Unique conforming capabilities of the CONFORMat provide for optimal contouring of the buttocks allowing the patient to “sit” in the cushion or support surface with minimal sensor interference
-
Aids in optimal selection and design of seating and positioning support surfaces and solutions right in the clinic
-
Provides data information for answering research hypotheses or development questions
Benefits of Pressure Mapping:
- Fully conforming sensor significantly reduces hammocking
- Reduces the incidence of ulceration and tissue deterioration
- Provides better selection of support surfaces and cushions
- Assists in writing treatment prescriptions
- Tangible, visible biofeedback for the client
The CONFORMat system is available with the following hardware choices: Tethered, Wireless, and Datalogger. See the system tab for more information.
*CONFORMat Handheld option available as well for greater portability

The datalogger function allows recordings to be stored on the unit and uploaded at a later date. The subject can travel over 100 meters from the computer and it can be used when a recording needs to be made over an extended period of time. Scan rates of 100 Hz can be achieved with the datalogger connection. |

**Evolution Handle(s) or VersaTek Cuff(s) - Every Tekscan system uses specially designed scanning electronics called Handles or Cuffs. The electronics connect to the sensor, gather the data from the sensor, and then process and send this data to your computer via USB connection. Evolution electronics allow you to "plug and play" by connecting directly to your computer's USB port.VersaTek electronics sample at the fastest speeds and are compatible with other VersaTek sensors, giving you the ability to add in-shoe, prosthetic, grip, and seating & positioning capabilities to your Tekscan System.

Easily identify high pressure areas (in red), view peak pressure (^P), and view pressure scale with a color legend. Pressure on the individual sensels can be assessed numerically (box inset), easing identification of high pressure areas
