Status: Tekscan, Inc. to Remain Open through Massachusetts Statewide Stay-At-Home Order
On the morning of Monday, March 23, 2020, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker issued a statewide stay-at-home order (otherwise known as shelter-in-place) beginning Tuesday, March 24, 2020 until Tuesday April 7, 2020. Per this announcement, all non-essential businesses must close their physical workplaces and facilities to all workers, customers, and the public.
Essential businesses, including those of the health care & public health sector, are allowed to continue operations during this time.
As a supplier of components serving the health care & public health sector, Tekscan is considered an essential business that may continue operations through the statewide stay-at-home order. All Tekscan employees needed to produce, test, ship, and bill Tekscan products, will continue to report for work at our South Boston, Mass., facility for the near future.
In reality, Tekscan has already been in compliance with this statewide mandate since last Monday, March 16. All Tekscan employees that have had the ability to work from home have done so with minimal interruptions to productivity over this time. This was done in an effort to minimize exposure to personnel continuing to work at our facility.
The safety and well-being of our team, partners, and our customers, remain our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and follow official guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health officials. We expect the order process to continue operating as usual, and will share updates with you as they happen.
Please continue to reach out to your sales representative for any feedback and support concerning Tekscan products. As mentioned in our email from last week, we are committed to being relevant and responsive in our communication, and dedicated to delivering a quality product.
From all of us at Tekscan, we truly wish all of you continued good health and safety as we proceed through these challenging times. Nevertheless, for the past three-and-a-half decades and counting, through the good times and bad, we remain proud to say: We are open for business!
Previous Update: 3/18/2020 12:00 PM EDT
Previous Status: Open. No expected Delays. More details below.
Organizations around the world are rapidly adapting to the coronavirus. Every day brings new developments with a major impact on individuals, organizations, governments, and the entire global economy.
The safety and well-being of our team, our partners, and our customers are our top priority. We are a global community facing the same challenges. We are closely monitoring the situation and following the official guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health officials.
Tekscan is open for business with no foreseen delays. Please allow for extra shipping time for freight that may be impacted. For those in locations with heightened restrictions, please work with your Account Manager directly, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit our contact us page.
Don’t hesitate to connect! All emails and phone lines are working as normal. In response to travel bans all sales and account managers are equipped with video conferencing capabilities to host meetings virtually and host group demonstrations and webinars.
Our goal is to minimize the disruption to the extent possible. We have made adjustments to provide a safe environment for the employees who continue to work in our facility. We have also asked all employees to practice good hygiene and social distance as well as be overcautious and stay home from work if they are not feeling well.
We remain committed to delivering a quality product. To date, there have been limited issues with the supply chain. Please expect the order process to operate as usual and note it may take longer than usual to receive shipments and we will do our best to communicate if we foresee that will be the case.
