Tekscan’s Favorite TV and Movie Dentists

As the creators of the T-Scan™ digital occlusal analysis system, we work with a lot of very talented and well-known dentists. However, as talented as they are, none are quite as well known as the list that we have assembled below. We’re revealing our favorite fake dentists from TV and film.

Tim Watley (Seinfeld)

Jerry’s sometimes scandalous dentist is known to dance on the line of what is appropriate and switch religions just for the jokes but, hey, he’s the best dentist in town!

Hermey the Elf (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer)

Bored with toy-making, Hermey wants nothing more than to help people with their teeth. Spoiler alert: He gets to live his dream by pulling some sharp fangs from a dangerous snow monster’s mouth.

Dr. Scrivello (Little Shop of Horrors)

Part Danny Zuko from Grease, part Ramsay Bolton from Game of Thrones, Steve Martin’s character takes a little too much pleasure in causing dental discomfort.

Dr. Wilbur Wonka (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, 2005)

In this remake, we learn that Willy Wonka’s passion for candy stems from his father’s strict “no sugar” policy.

Stu Price (The Hangover)

Straight-laced Stu is constantly getting mocked for his chosen profession. Unlike Stu’s pals, we have a lot of respect for dentists.

Whether funny, deranged, or endearing, we think this list covers some of the best in the (fake) field of dentistry. Who’s your favorite dentist from TV or Movies?
