Wireless Capability

Tekscan's Wireless Capability is an optional add-on feature that provides real-time communications between your sensor/Handle and your PC/laptop over a (802.11B) wireless link. Pressure data is sent in real-time from a remote Handle(s) attached to a PDA, and displayed and recorded on a local PC/laptop. Tekscan Wireless Capability includes a handheld PC (PDA) with USB port and Tek WiFi Link software. Wireless Capability can work concurrently with up to two Tekscan Evolution Handles!

Applications:

• Connect sensors to rotating machinery and wheels
• Collect data from automated assembly lines, moving machinery, and robots
• Use with conveyor belt applications
• Make measurements in high-temperature or hazardous conditions
• Set-up large machines from a central location

Features:

• Increased flexibility in capturing data
• Scanning rates of up to 50 Hz
• Wireless transmission up to 300 ft (interfering structures may reduce this distance)
• Lightweight & portable
• Uses industry standard protocols

Requirements:

• Operating System: Windows 2000, XP, or Vista
• 802.11b Wireless Capability for the "client" PC or Laptop (either through a wireless card or equivalent wireless device)
• Wireless router recommended
