Trigger Synch Box (TS-100) & External Trigger Synch Software
Synchronize data captured by external devices
The TS-100 box can be used to synchronize data captured by external devices (such as force plates, digital video, EMG and similar devices) with Tekscan data. It connects to the PC running the Tekscan software through the PC's serial port and provides trigger input to a Tekscan system or provides synch output to third-party devices. The TS-100 can be used in one of four ways:
- External devices (such as an electric eye or light beam) can be connected to generate an input that will trigger recording in the Tekscan software.
- External devices can be connected to TS-100 to receive one-time trigger output to start them. A signal will be sent to connected devices when the trigger switch button is pressed.
- An LED can be connected for visual indication of the start of the recording.
- Pushing the (optional) external trigger thumb device can hand trigger a recording.
Note: The Tekscan TS-100 requires the External Trigger and Synch software add-on option. Maximum safe supply voltage TTL level input is 5V.
When TS-100 is used with Evolution or USB Handles there is some latency due to USB buffering of data. The TS-100 is not compatible with USB to serial adapters.
Applications:
- Synching Tekscan data capture with the start of video recording (digital or analog)
- Triggering and synching with additional hardware such as additional Tekscan system or third-party data acquisition equipment
Requirements:
- Computer with serial port
- Trigger and synch software option
