Too few parameters. Expected 2
Issue: My software will not allow me to take data or even to enter a new patient. No matter what I try to do in T-Scan it just keeps coming up with the warning message "Too few parameters. Expected 2".
Solution: This error occurs when the user who is logged into Windows does not have Permission to write to the Patient Database.
In Windows Explorer or in My Computer, navigate to the Database folder in the folder where your Tekscan software is installed, for example: c:TekscanTScanDatabase. Select the Database folder, right-click and choose Properties. On the Security tab you need to give Full Control to the user(s) who will use your Tekscan software.
Your attempts to use the Patient Database without the needed permission may have created some files that you will now need to delete. Here are the steps to take:
- Make a backup copy of the database folder somewhere else on the computer before you begin to change things.
- Open the Database folder. Delete all files that have the extension *.tst. (The only items remaining in this folder should be the tscandb.mdb file, the MOVIES folder and the EXPORT folder.) Then, try starting the T-Scan software again to see if it works.
- Restart the software. If you still get the Too Few Parameters error you will need to reboot the computer.
- If it doesn't work, then we may need you to send a copy of the database file to Tekscan to see if it can be fixed.
