Save MATLAB®
Greater flexibility in data analysis with MATLAB!
The "Save MATLAB" feature facilitates saving Tekscan movie data (*.fsx file format) into a MATLAB MAT-File (*.mat file format) for greater flexibility in analysis. MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numerical computation.
The movie file is converted into a two dimensional array where the sensor data is compartmentalized on the x and y axis, and each successive frame is incrementally added along the y axis. For example, for an I-Scan® 5051 sensor, the output array for a movie would be in increments of 44 by 44, with as many instances as the number of frames in
the movie.

Applications:
- Sleep studies
- Finite Element Analysis boundary condition research
Requirements:
- This routine is compatible with all Tekscan systems except I-Scan Handheld, I-Scan Lite, and CONFORMat Handheld. Requires versions 6.30 and above.
- This feature is compatible with MATLAB versions up to 7.5.0342 (R2007b).
