The Nip Pressure Measurement System (NPMS) is a complete nip pressure and force measurement tool that takes the guesswork out of adjusting rollers. Accurately and quickly measure roller profiles to correct misalignment issues and uneven pressure distribution. The system measures and displays, in real-time, the pinch forces every 1.375 inches (3.5 cm) along the roll nip.

Nip pressure measurement system specifications
The NPMS consists of a tactile pressure sensor and electronics, all conveniently packaged in a self-contained portable unit and software to install on a PC/notebook. The sensors terminate at an analog-to-digital converter and sensor data is transmitted wirelessly to a remote computer.
Sensing elements (sensels) for all systems are spaced every 1.375 inches (3.5 cm) along the length of the sensor's sensing region. All systems are able to accommodate nip widths of up to 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) and measure pressures up to 500 psi.
