The Vascular / Garment (VG) System

The V/G System.

Tekscan's VG System can be used to quickly assess the pressure analysis of support hose and burn garments. Support hose are generally used to aid patients who have poor lower limb circulation. Through the application of a negative pressure gradient (more pressure at the ankle and less at the calf), support hose are able to enhance venous blood flow. When customized support hose are prescribed, a proper "fit" is essential. Using the VG System, one can assess whether the "fit" produces the proper negative pressure gradient, and if the prescribed pressure is being applied to the leg.

Pressure garments are traditionally used to treat burn wounds when hypertrophic scarring is a concern. Tekscan's VG System enables the practitioner to assess the amount of topical pressure being applied by the garment. The device enables the practitioner to assess the pressure being applied in all areas; particularly large, flat areas, such as the back or chest.

The VG System comes complete with innovative electronics, Windows-compatible software and appropriate sensors.
