How to Export a patient's movies from one Tekscan application for viewing in another Tekscan application

Question/Problem: How can I Export a patient's movies from my Tekscan application for viewing in another Tekscan application?

Answer/Solution: This can be done only in Tekscan applications which include a Patient Database.  When a movie has been recorded on another computer, you may wish to import it into the Patient File Management system.

Please note that the patient's movies will all be exported to a single file which will be named with the extension: .tpm

You will need to Import the .tpm file in another Tekscan application which includes a Patient Database in order to see the individual movies.

Exporting and Importing a Movie

  1. Record a movie, then select Save Movie from the File pull-down menu. The movie will be saved in the Patient File Management system.

  1. Open the Patient Record dialog box for the patient via the Patients Toolbar button or by going to File -> Patients. Click the Export Patient & Movies button. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to select Yes to export all movies for the patient, or No to export only the selected movie(s) for the patient. The movie will be placed in the export folder.

  1. When you are ready to import the client, select Import patient from the File drop-down menu, or open the patients dialog box and click the Import patient and Movies button. A dialog box will open in which will be displayed the contents of the Export folder. Select the patient files you wish to import to the system.
