What is the value named EQUFLAG?

Question/Problem: I see a parameter named, "EQUFLAG 1" in header of the fsx-files. What does it mean?

Answer/Solution: In software after version 5.00, we offer the ability to equilibrate the movie and then to store the equilibration factors separately from the original raw data. (Any software previous to this version would permanently change the raw data to equilibrated data and the original raw data could not be retrieved from the recording.)

These equilibrated factors can be freely applied to or removed from the data in the software. The EQUFLAG in the header remembers the last setting that was applied when the movie was saved. EQUFLAG=1 means that the equilibration factors are applied. EQUFLAG=0 means that they are not applied and thus, the raw data will be displayed.

This can be changed in the equilibration dialog, and the movie can be re-saved with this setting. This is controlled by the "Equilibration Enabled" check box in the top left corner of the equilibration dialog.
