Distribution of the spray from a nozzle is important, but difficult to quantify. When the
impact of a nozzle is too great, energy and liquid may be wasted or damage to material
being processed, property or people may result. If the impact of a nozzle is too low, the
intended job may not be accomplished, or the results on processed material may be
irregular. In a test, I-Scan can measure and record pressure spray patterns, and support
analysis so adjustments can be made. I-Scan information can be used to develop new
conceptual designs, conduct quality control tests, benchmark nozzle characteristics and
document the effectiveness of proprietary solutions. Sensors are available in different
shapes, are reusable, and provide accurate pressure readings. With the help of Tekscan's
highly qualified sales and engineering support team, each system may be configured to
meet your specific needs.
Pressure output of spray pattern: The red regions have higher pressures.
The blue regions have lower pressures.
The white center of the pattern has no impact.
