Product Development with F-Scan®
Dr. James Clough describes how he used the F-Scan® system for both the treatment of biomechanical foot issues and the product development of the Cluffy Wedge.

Dr. James Clough Uses the F-Scan to Treat Patients and for Biomechanical Device Product Development
James Clough, DPM, uses the F-Scan® in clinical practice when the solution to his patient's pain isn't immediately clear, because it gives him data unseen by the naked eye. He believes one of the greatest benefits of using the system is that he can show his patients visually where their pain is. As a result, patients take comfort in knowing that their pain is real, and therefore gives them confidence in their provider. By using the F-Scan, Dr. Clough can really offer something unique to his patients that clinicians without the system cannot.
As an answer to some of the issues he was seeing in his clinic, Dr. Clough developed the Cluffy Wedge, a method of treatment for biomechanical problems of the foot. Dr. Clough used the F-Scan in the development of this product to validate his ideas and obtain objective data to support and reinforce the results he was seeing during testing. The F-Scan confirms the benefit of the Cluffy Wedge by clearly showing how it enhances biomechanical control of the foot with the orthotic and therefore improving the outcome. Dr. Clough believes the F-Scan is an invaluable piece of technology and he continues to use it going forward as he develops other prototypes.
