Wiper™ System
wiper blade to windshield force distribution measurement
Evaluate wiper blade force profiles and interface pressure distribution.
The Wiper system measures force distribution between blade and glass. The Wiper system uses a long, very thin sensor secured to the glass. Active sensing elements (sensels) spaced every 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) register the force along the length of the blade. Various industry leaders such as Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, Bosch, Toyota, Valeo, and SIAT use the Wiper pressure measurement system to test windshield wiper performance.
Key Wiper Features:
- Capture force at many locations along the wiper blade
- Take measurements at multiple angles
- Flexible, ultra-thin sensors conform to curved glass
- Real-time display of pressure and force data
- USB connectivity
- Scanning rate of 10 Hz (frames per second)
A Tekscan system consists of scanning electronics, software, and patented thin-film, tactile pressure sensors. Our qualified engineers will help you select the optimal system configuration to meet your application requirements. Wiper components:
Evolution® Handle - Every Tekscan system uses specially designed scanning electronics called Handles or Cuffs. The electronics connect to the sensor, gather the data from the sensor, and then process and send this data to your computer via USB connection.
